In all these comments and in stories and comments in the NYT and WSJ, no mention is made of the fact that the priincipal "buzzed" in the killer who was locked out because she recognized him as the son of a teacher. It is even possible the principal knew of the killers "odd" personality. Tragically, she died later, but can people never have the common sense of perhaps it is best not to mindlessly follow routine procedures as the principal did? Had she kept the killer outside the school, this tragedy might have been avoided. True, this is just supposing but that would have been the prudent thing to do.

Jack,2894, I suggest you don't bother to continue to slink down the halls of Townhall. You will be much happier among your own kind.

And, your comment has exactly what to do with the subject of Mr. Greenberg's blog?

AskGermaine, what the HeXX does homophobia have to do with the problem?. Just because conservatives do not approve of gay marriage does not make them bigoted. If you read the Bible, it clearly limits marriage to a man and a woman. There is no problem with gays being allowed to have a legal union. Marriage is a religious ceremony.

These either/or solutions won't cut it. Obviously, the NFL can't cut its throat and allow rules to prevent injuries. I think what probably can be done is outlaw the helmet-to-helmet and other truly viscious hits now so common, even though helmet-to-helmet was supposedly already outlawed. There's no way cumulative lower level trauma can be factored into preventative rules. As in so many situations, common sense will eventually demand a solution without taking out the normal violence which fans love and crave. The only thing we have to guard against are the "do-gooders" who have ruined so much of our lives with their determination to take all the risk out of life.
Simply put, all of this is an embarrassment for the U.S. and the Obama Administration, which should be made to make restitution for their acts against the U.S. .

Deuxieme, your question is foolish. Stock prices reflect reality. For the Cigna stock to have gone down would have proven stock prices are controlled by political parties. Actually, stock pricess reflect expectation of profits. Would you expect the stock price to have fallen under these circumstances?

There was a certain amount of prejudice when U.S. citizens of Japanese descent were put in camps after Pearl Harbor. However, this great country had just been attacked by a foreign power (Japan) and thousands of Americans killed, with more thousands yet to be killed. A president like Roosevelt would have had to be insane to ignore the immediate and possible threat of Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor. It was a very bad time in the U.S., and the decision to intern Japanese was wrong but at the time, it made sense. Wars cause bad decisions. Roosevelt would have been a fool after Pearl Harbor to say the internment was "racist". And, at least, this country finally did apologize. Yes, there was "war hysteria after Pearl Harbor.
And, FB, it is none of your business what religious beliefs GWB had or has or whatever his drink habits were or are and your unseemly comment about these have no place on Townhall. In fact, what are you doing making liberal comments on Townhall, which is a conservative column? If you want to hollar for the Democrats, go someplace else! Otherwise, keep shut about GWB.

Let's face it 101AirbrnDiv, what are you doing on Townhall if you're going to be knocking the Republican Vice Presidential candidate? One would think you are totally happy with the president of the U.S., who has completely ruined this country and if given the chance, will turn it into a Socialist paradise.
