Dzokhar Tsarnaev and the Death Penalty

Debradrs: Wimpy people like you make me sick. You know you have the feeling that capital punishment is right in some situations, but you are afraid of killing the "wrong" person. That fear is simply unreasonable. And, yet, in nearly the same breath, you illustrate worse desires than any normal pro-death penalty person would tolerate. Typical of leftists! And, the case under discussion does not lend itself to "THE WRONG PERSON!" Some people, you are a prime example, can't think straight.
Before you stop reading these comments, just consider the ideas expressed here pretty much represent all that is good in the world of late night comedy if the discussion is about Jay Leno. Also, it tells the truth about NBC and the so-called other comedians on late nite TV. Johnny Carson, where are you when we need you?

DHE, you are absolutely wrong about the majority of the country being for the progressive agenda. In this group, you have the chronically unemployed, Hollywood, the news media, those on welfare, and most Democrats. In no way are these groups a majority. But, progressive, like yourself, truly believe your side is unmistakably in the majority, to the disbelief of anyone knowing the makeup of this country.

Well, David, spoken like a true liberal! If you have any children in government schools, you already know the problems they produce with lack of useful knowledge and little U.S. history, not to mention recognizing and diagnosing every other child as ADD or ADHD, putting them on lifetime medication and making good Liberal Democrats out of them. You'd have done wonderful in Nazi Germany. Didn't Hitler say, give me your children from birth to age 6 and I will make good Nazi's out of them, or was it Stalin? Why are you reading a conservative column, anyway?

Spoken like a true liberal and Obama acolyte. Anyone with an ounce of brains could not take Carson's remarks as an ambush against Obama. What speech were you listening to?

lukemcire, your comment is blasphemy. If you want to make fun of the Catholic church, you can do it all day long by listening to and participating in the leftist Mainstream Media Television programs that do this all day long. The "show" you so stupidly ridicule is what is called "The Word Of God". Maybe it isn't to your liking, but it isn't there for your entertainment or approval, it is there for your help. Why do people like you, who have no conception of what religion is all about, spend their time reading conservative columns such as are found in Townhall?

nonab528, make that "returned to the plantation", the word "back" is superflous.
Jondm, there is no such thing as a "gun law" in the U.S. (except in Chicago and D.C., where gun deaths are out of control). The "gun law" we follow in the U.S is the 2nd Amendment. Please do not let your over the top senselessness and emotions overshadow this reality.
Well, David, you' ve just about exhonerated all the things you mentioned, including bringing in negatives about former mistreatment of blacks. Bringing up all the former evils our society does no good. And, I notice you didn't mention the greatest current evil of all, the wanton killing of millions of babies in the abortion clinics for the convenience of the "mothers". Time to remember what is moral and what is immoral! It may make you feel good to catalog all the past evils of the U.S., but we're now in different territory and its name is abortion. And, please, mistreatment of gays is in no way equivalent to the wanton murder of babies. Please, lets keep some balance here.
In all these comments and in stories and comments in the NYT and WSJ, no mention is made of the fact that the priincipal "buzzed" in the killer who was locked out because she recognized him as the son of a teacher. It is even possible the principal knew of the killers "odd" personality. Tragically, she died later, but can people never have the common sense of perhaps it is best not to mindlessly follow routine procedures as the principal did? Had she kept the killer outside the school, this tragedy might have been avoided. True, this is just supposing but that would have been the prudent thing to do.
