these atatistics i want to study further, because i can't easily follow the logic trend as this information is presented in this article. but it would seem that the bls would have a standardized protocol in place by now. i think they use these seasonal adjustments as glib excuses for when these pesky numbers don't cooperate politically. what they are saying is the dog ate my homework.

Seasonally adjusted is just a PC way of saying the number arrived at is not a measure of unemployment at the time of the survey. In other words, the numbers have been fudged to hide the truth.
