zealous, the only love they know about they read in people magazine. otherwise they have no concept of this. their brains aren't wired right for this emotion to process. in fact one should almost pity them. yeah, oh how they love each other. like in broken back mountain, that's their love.

uvuvuv, that's still a very broad assumption. And how is calling them cheap mutants an effective argument against homosexuality? I'm interested in why these assumptions are made and how much of this claimed damage that is caused by homosexuality is actually verified. And if someone's position on homosexuality is based on assumptions and they're not open to the possibility that they're wrong, then that position is inherently unreasonable.

uv - you are the one differentiating. You compared homosexual love to a movie that is a tragic love story about two men who are in love. You basically tried to disprove the idea of homosexual love by referencing a story about homosexual love. Zealous demonstrated the emptiness of your comparison by referencing a story about heterosexual love in the same context.

herald good question. but are you asking me or zealous? if you're asking me i think 90% of gays are cheap mutants. of course the gay couple neighbors i had for 3 years would be in the 10%.

heterosexual love, homosexual love. it seems you're differentiating, which is the whole point.

Do you know any homosexuals personally that fit this description? If so, how many and is it reasonable to apply this same standard to every homosexual in the country?

I...it's a tragic love story man. It doesn't really add to the discussion here...have...have you even seen the movie? I mean c'mon, that's like saying that heterosexual love is like Romeo and Juliet.

SUPPORTERS OF SAME-SEX MARRIAGE have reason to cheer after last week's election. Supporters of democratic self-government, even those of us who oppose gay marriage, do too.

On Nov. 6, for the first time ever, voters in three states – Maine, Maryland, and Washington – redefined marriage by popular vote. In Minnesota, residents said no to a constitutional amendment enshrining the traditional understanding of marriage as the union of a man and a woman. There is no denying the significance of these results: Previously the issue had gone to the ballot in 32 states, and in all 32 same-sex marriage was defeated....
