some stuff only a father can do. taking the son fishing or to a ball game. well that's the list. oh, target shooting at the rifle range, then going hunting together. a father might take his son to burger king, or bowling, just you and me, robbie. my stepfather wasn't much for all this, but i think he would have jumped if i asked him to take me golfing or help me to swing the bat. we did go camping, once (it rained), an undertaking a single mother wouldn't necessarily want to do. we went on picnics quite often, actually. kids in single mother households just aren't going to see this happen. this is a deprivation that can make kids think they don't matter. a father will play catch, a mother won't. this has to hurt.
