Impeaching Obama would lead to the impeachment of every US President following him. The act would become irrelevant. What punishment did Clinton receive for his impeachment? He lost his law licence. Big deal. His popularity grew after impeachment and he did not leave office. I guess it distracted him for a few years but that was about it. I think this argument illustrates our frustrations with the system as a whole. It is difficult to beat the Left with the Constitution because the education system has been so corrupted by the Left for 50 years that we now have multiple generations of citizens that have no idea what the Constitution even means. Without an informed citizenry, we will stay in the minority and the Left can continue to operate in the same fashion. We have to break DC apart brick by brick. Quit focusing on the Presidency and every little thing that Obama does. Instead, lay out a long-term strategy to reverse course. We did not get here overnight. It has taken 100+ years. It can't be fixed tomorrow. The trouble is that I see very few conservative leaders with enough of a vision to create and enact a long-term strategy. The folks in DC spend too much time playing defense. It will take some very strong leaders to change course.

You bring up a good point about large cities. The biggest issue with getting back to constitutional principles is that State Governments could then become as tyrannical as DC. In some cases, even more tyrannical. And where are most all state capitols? In large cities. Austin is a good example of a blue city in a red state. It is the same for Atlanta. However, I do believe we would have a greater opportunity to make changes to our state governments to reflect our core values. There is almost no chance of that in DC.

The funny thing about your comment is that you assume that secession will lead to war. Why would you think that? Is it because the US Government will not allow specific regions of this country to peaceably secede? What gives you that idea? oh yeah....history does. There is only one problem with any state leaving the union. The debt they would owe as their part of the national debt would be so large they could never pay it. This once again proves we are all slaves to the modern day plantation owners....the Federal Government.
These questions are often a matter of perspective and perception. I have heard for years from the talking heads how awful our healthcare system is compared to other countries. I think people hear that enough and begin to believe the "grass is greener" with other healthcare systems. I think the best question will come 5 years into the future. A simple "do you prefer the current (Obamacare) system or the system prior to Obamacare" question will tell us what we want to know. However, with the PR campaign already underway to convince everyone how great Obamacare is/will be, even that poll may be skewed. The sad part of this is that if the Obama administration truly cared about healthcare for citizens who cannot afford it, there were so many other options that would have much less disruptive to the American people. Instead he threw the baby out with the bathwater so he could have his Roosevelt/Johnson signature legacy legislation and push people into a system that will ultimately be govt. controlled. Don't be fooled by all of this turmoil. This is exactly what he wants because at the end of the day, he and the extreme will get what they want....single-payer. Socialism, so great it is mandatory!!
