"“Some of us have been working to reduce gun violence for decades.”" And yet those same 'some of you' appear unable to see that your past efforts have failed miserably. If you were serious about your declared outcome, wouldn't you have changed tactics by now? No, this is about controlling the population and the wielding of power, no more, no less.

Is "cuban reject" another one of Allison's screed names? Just wondering.

The "war on gun violence" is going just about as well as the "war on poverty."

They can't win the war on gun violence without going after all of the thugs who use guns while committing crimes of violence. But they won't go after those thugs because those thugs are in the hotbed of liberals support infrastructure, the inner cities. So, to make it look like they're doing something, they've been conducting a war against law abiding gun owners, many of whom are far outside of their political sphere of influence. Thus, they don't care about law abiding gun owners.

The fact she said that she had been working at all for decades is a lie.
It is our own fault for electing idiots like this.

Same rationale for the war on drugs

Surrounded by law enforcement officers, mayors, police chiefs, gun “safety” groups, Democratic legislators and a display of semi-automatic rifles and pistols, California Senator Dianne Feinstein introduced her new gun control legislation today on Capitol Hill.

“This is a tough battle,” Feinstein said in her opening remarks. “Some of us have been working to reduce gun violence for decades.”

The event kicked off with Rev. Gary Hall preaching about gun violence to the cameras, a mix of church and state liberals typically frown upon unless it serves a certain political purpose.
