Rejecting God makes the state supreme. When the supremacy of the state is established, the state becomes the entity which determines the rights of its citizens. Only then can the state distribute resources fairly based upon the needs of each categorized 'group' of citizens living in that state. An oligarchy of elite rulers make these decisions. This is what is know as 'social justice', originally concepted by the Stoics of ancient Greece. Because 'social justice' is incompatible with 'natural' or 'God-given rights', the idea of a supreme deity above the authority of mankind must be eliminated before such a system of rights is installed. Your rights at the whim of government is what that is in a nutshell.

I was disappointed with the clear implication in your Meet The Press interview that those of us, in the GOP who defend life, protect traditional marriage and advance religious liberty are intolerant.

It was obvious to anyone who watched the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, that NO! had it. There was no way the convention chairman could have heard a two-thirds vote for the YES! position. Three times the chairman asked them to vote. Three times they denied God. Denied Him Thrice!

What has happened to the Democratic Party that,in the 1960's, provided such leadership for the cause...
