The entire Republican platform was a big, beautiful empty cliche of freedom from taxes, government, healthcare, education, infrastructure, regulation and interaction with minorities. Their mythical Whites R Us sensibility was a still photo of 1950's America reflecting their one and only vision of the future.

They just don't get change - new people, new ideas, new languages, new ways of thinking, new religions, new problems or new solutions.

But the only thing constant in the world is change, and that just confuses the reptilian GOP to no end.

I doubt I'm the only one who noticed.  It seems that the guys who are supposed to be in charge of "intelligence" are the same ones having the most difficulty with the simplest things.

Neither the "smartest guy in every room" – President Barack Obama – nor the National Intelligence Director, nor the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (the only two agencies with "Intelligence" in their name) have any idea who removed the CIA's original and immediate assessment that Benghazi was indeed a terrorist attack.

Or, maybe it's a case of somebody playing the rest of us...
