I'm not sure how things work in New York City, but where I live, charter schools are found in the Black neeighborhoods of the city, serving the inner city Black students who usually receive a terriible education from the public schools. And like the New York city charter schools, the results these schools get here are amazing, over 85% of the students passing the "adequate yearly progress" exams that are part of the No Child Left Behind Act. So I'm wondering, if New York's charter schools are also located in Black neighborhoods like they are where I live, and the Mayor is kicking 700 kids who are presumably minority kids out of these high-performing schools and forcing them to go back to the inadequate public schools, doesn't that make Mayor de Blasio a racist? I wonder if the main stream media will mention this? I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for them to point out waht's going on.
