Doesn't the bible instruct Christians to pray in private? If so, shouldn't true Christians be condemning this anti-biblical practice of praying in public? It appears to me that these public displays of piety are done more for the purposes of political pandering and not for actually communing with God. Perhaps both Congress and the Supreme Court should end the practice of opening sessions with prayer. It would be the biblical thing to do.
