I think true conservatives can win - Ron Paul actually won Iowa, but the media went out it's way to hide it so they could tell everyone he wasn't electable. More Dems were supporting him then any other Republican. We need to have a stronger legal team backing them. And hold media accountable for being non-partisan. Media coverage of a candidate is free advertising. Ron Paul go no coverage by liberal or conservative media. Don't they take some oath of being non-partisan? Can't they be held accountable for it? When the media supports one side the other side doesn't have much of a chance... But as far as choosing someone closer to the middle, they become so far left that they loose the right - example McCain and Romney. Also need to educate the public on what is conservative. The assumption is old fashioned, straight laced, Victorian, rather than conserving your rights and your opportunities as well as your hard earned money. Talk about it in that way and more on the left may join folks on the right. Everyone is going broke as we venture further and further into socialism...
