Both of my sons were forced to read Noam Chomsky in High School. We kept it real at home, however. One ended up going to West Point, the other to Annapolis. One's a fighter pilot now, the other a Ranger. Both have been in combat. The Ranger says he loved his job in Afghanistan because all he had to do every day was to "go out and kill people who hate America."
It is possible to survive our public schools, but young Mr. Stam is quite right, it's much easier to do so with the guidance of a good father.
