When a Muslim is convicted of "sexually torturing" 6 girls, the youngest being 11 years old, and when he and his friends collectively have abused over 50 vulnerable white girls, we are told that these are just the actions of a few sick individuals ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2349784/Sadistic-paedophile-sex-gang-brothers-given-lengthy-prison-sentences-exploiting-underage-girls.html ).
But when one man shoots up a theater in Colorado, or a Muslim shoots up an Army base in Ft. Hood, or a man shoots up a Navy base in a gun-free city, we are told to blame the instrument of violence instead of the person involved. We are told that all people who own guns, and certainly all people who want to ensure our right of self-defence as humans, are clueless, reactionary savages just because we want to defend ourselves.
In short, great lengths are taken to *not* identify Muslims as a group, and great extents are taken *to* identify gun owners as a group.
