Another excellent column, Michele. I've wondered about the RNC's policy positions eve since the end of the last election, which was quickly followed by relentless pandering by Priebus. Rather than restating the party's principles, the Chairman was on a pathetic bend-over-and-grab-your-ankles-I-surrender position with respect to every grievance coalition group he could find that gave Romney less than 40 percent - which included Hispanics, blacks, gays and everyone in the 21-31 age group, regardless of whether they were illegals or in the Big House. It's time to stand up, not bend over. America's supposed to be all about the Rule of Law and personal responsibility. It's about self-respect, morality and moving forward through education and personal growth. And it's not about retreating as Eric Holder would have us believe when he says a citizen's "first duty" is to retreat when confronted by a home invader, which is a poicy of weakness and surrender which is the seminal characteristic of our national policy vis-a-vis illegal immigration.
