You guys are great for an early morning laugh. Anywho, figured I'd just mess with your heads by letting you know that you're confusing "liberal arts" with politically liberal. They're two different things. A liberal arts curriculum is one that is not pre-professionally geared, but rather focused subject for it's own sake. That's all. A non-liberal arts school can be more politically liberal than a liberal arts school.
Now, liberal arts campuses tend to be more liberal leaning, simply because they attract students who are a) majoring in humanities based fields and/or b) looking to get into academia.
For the geniuses below stating that non-professional majors are a waste -- you're idiots. Most liberal arts grads go to grad school; as most liberal arts institutions are very academically rigorous, these grads get in before traditional "pre law" grads from state schools. But yeah...liberals bad, republicans =apple pie, and whatnot, right? Right.
I know you guys have a problem with nuance, but I figured I'd try. :)
Now...back to my elitist existence. You guys are adorable. You DO realize that no matter how much you stick your fingers in your ear and go "lalalala" that the country is changing, and you are dinosaurs, right? You will be looked at the same way that those in the antebellum and Jim Crow-era South currently are. But yeah...Go 'Murrica.
