With due respect to Curtis, I agree with Mr. Towery. Why go to a doctor if we know the answers as well as he or she? Why see an accountant, or even use TurboTax, if we can make the right decisions about our tax return just as efficiently without help.
Two problems exist that get a lot of words in the "Debate" here at TH.com: one is the arrogance of our President. Wouldn't it be great if he consulted some economic and foreign policy experts before he spoke, before he issued his edicts and executive orders? The other is the destructive effect of the race hucksters like the "Reverend" Al Sharpton. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they all just kept their opinions to themselves and worked like actual religious leaders to make the world a better place? But no. Rather than try to pour oil on trouble waters they're always pouring gasoline on the fires. It's disgusting, and it's amazing that they are even allowed to get away with some of it which resembles shouting "fire" in a crowded theater or inciting to riot.
That's what I believe this author is saying, and I agree strongly with his point.
