I've taught at laptop schools for years.
Sure - because they are CONstantly off-task, trying every way imaginable to get around the blocks our school puts up to prevent shopping during class, Facebook, etc. I usually just say, "No laptops today. Paper. Take notes. Deal with it."
They all admit they concentrate better if their laptops are closed!
But "educators" are in love with the idea that computers will do their job for them somehow, and that it makes the "educators" look better.
