Yet another reason for nanny-state public universities to get out of the auxiliary services businesses - housing, feeding, health care (free condoms and birth control pills), non-academic counseling, athletics, facilitation of student organizations unrelated to academics....the list goes on. The cost of college has increased stratospherically because of supporting matters unrelated to any academic mission (not to mention the pseudo-academic missions such as name-your-own-self-designated-oppressed-group-studies), and the paper shuffling campus bureaucrats who run them (count the "assistant deans"). States need to rein in these costs quickly and mercilessly.
