Arsenic and cyanide also are small amounts that have great effects. CO2 tracks exceptionally well over the last 800,000 years from the ice cores. Katrina, the Russian heat wave that killed 700 people, the 2003 European heat wave that killed 40,000 people. There are all kinds of evidence collected, you just haven't paid attention.
