This is one of the biggest of myths perpetuated by conservatives, Mr. Sowell. I am surprised that you would continue to peddle this myth. While it is true that Latin American mothers cross the border to have their children in the US, those women do not become American Citizens any time soon nor maybe ever. The reason is because the child must be 21 years old before he or she can request to have his or her parents brought into the US, and that only with a Green Card. So that's a LONG TERM investment if there was ever one. So much for "anchoring" oneself to the US with children!
