Then, we need a law that when enforced requires both recipients to work full time, until they earn enough to be removed from the Welfare Rolls.
I'm presently receiving welfare in Michigan, and I can't afford to take any trips.. Even when I worked 40 hours or more a week, (on minimum wage), I took a yearly vacation, stayed home, and relaxed. Traveling wasn't in the budget. Especially NOT overseas travel.
Maybe that's another way that the system has to change. But who will actually write and enforce the law that changes it?
