Missing from discussion about illegal immigration are two words - enforcement and punishment. What is the punishment for violation of immigration law by attempting or succeeding in illegal entry into the United States? How often is punishment enforced? Immigration reform merely puts different labels on illegal aliens who are not and will not be removed from the United States, but will remain indefinitely. Violation of law against robbing a bank of $100,000 is enforced and punished even though stealing presence in the U.S. is worth as much, if not more, than $100,000. Citizenship should never be granted to a person who has not immigrated legally.
