"free will" is the cop-out. If we have true free will then god does not know everything that was or will be. If god knows everything that we will or will ever do then there is no true free will. You can't have it both ways. Religion created the argument of "free will" to explain why god didn't intervene in suffering and when people did bad things. For example, those that say the people saved during the West, TX explosion where "saved by god" if god is powerful enough to save those people, then WHY DID THE EXPLOSION HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE?
