As far as Mr. Robert Shiller is concerned, I do not really know what economic philosophy he follows, but "supply-sider" does not appear likely. I suspect that "Keynesian" may be closer to the mark. But I may be wrong, so I suggest following the link provided in the column to his Slate column, and readers can decide for themselves.
As to my own remarks, I have already elaborated on Ron781's analogy of economic friction in the larger machinery of society. Your own response was a sarcastic reference to the movie "The Wizard of Oz".
