Good officers last only two years and then they either succumb to the peer pressure to go to the dark side or they leave. Their pay is crappy so the only way to make more money is up the ladder or be on the take. Either method results in dirty hands. By & large, they're not very educated. The really good smart ones obtain advanced degrees and leave the patrol car behind. So what does that leave us? Undereducated, no drive, no goals, under paid people that have a chip on their shoulder that they gladly display by being God when they pull you over. Here's a tip - after 9:00pm, if you're pulled over, the Officer has only ONE GOAL - to make a felony arrest.
