"before the country is irreparably damaged"
You are much too late. The damage has been fatal or worse as a result of the cruel stupidity of panderers to beginner and low skilled workers. They were robbed of the opportunity to gain experience and skills doing work that was plentiful but not capable of creating a return on investment at mandated wages. Protecting unions against competition ruined the unions as productive assets.
How could anyone believe that a minimum wage law could, should, or would be Constitutional? Nearly two generations of our youth have been evilly deprived of their rights, opportunities, and vital experience. What should be the appropriate punishment of legislators and regulators who have purchased votes.
