I sense the "apes and swine" fake Koranic citations will take on the same legendary status as Ahmadi-Nejad's alleged statement that Iran would "wipe Israel off the map."
For those not familiar with this debunked myth, Ahmadi-Nejad never said any such thing. The idiomatic expression, "to wipe off the map" does not even exist in Farsi. The deliberate misquote was debunked almost immediately, but that didn't stop the neoconservative couch-warriors from repeating it endlessly in order to gin up hostilities.
The actual quotation, accurately translated, simply says that the "regime in Jerusalem will disappear from the pages of time."
