If man has no ultimate, permanent basis for his morality, he will define and redefine his morality for himself. Over time, his morality will "drift" in ways that are ultimately selfish and self-serving. Germany, the center of culture in late 19th century Europe, redefined itself into accepting mass murder in the early 20th. Without an ultimate, independent ....and permanent...moral basis or reference, man will always drift toward self-destruction. The Bible is such a reference, and many would argue, the only real, permanent moral reference. We in the West are now conducting an experiment to see if that's true or not. The results should be in shortly.....
