Think about this; Last year Chicago Public Schools were closed for the teacher strike. They opened in the morning and at noon to feed the kids though.
They opened to feed the kids that got free lunch. The parents of these kids are given enough in food stamps to feed their kids.
For most Americans, opening to feed the kids made sense.
