I like the "Dusky Frog" aspect of this article. In the early 70's I was a victim (at 16) of "Affirmative Action" requirements. I was terminated from my job because the company was required to have a position open in case a Black person needed a job ... the company was 90% Hispanic ... The town and area had no "Black People" and to this day has very few. Up to that time I thought overt prejudice was stupid ... coming from Maine the form of prejudice up there is "People from Other Places vs. People with a Canadian Background" (& a French sounding last name) which was just ... stupid. After the run in with the Affirmative Action Law, I still considered overt prejudice stupid but I could understand its basis. Like the Dusky Frog scenario ..
