No, Keynes was an idiot too. Long time Wall Street Journal economics correspondent Henry Hazlitt (1894-1993) did a considerable public service by disassembling The General Theory paragraph-by-paragraph in The Failure of the New Economics (1959). The General Theory is neither general nor much of a theory but a restating of long-refuted inflationist nonsense in the language of functional calculus. Hazlitt also collected comments by other authors refuting Keynes in The Critics of Keynesian Economics (1960).
