Yes, wtmoore1 - this is my same question (see my reply to TEA_CRACKER, above). I hope I can get a reasonable argument for/against/about this practice. Honestly, I can't see why asking for positive ID to cast a vote would suppress minorities. Almost everyone in society today needs an ID for many purposes; my state (NC) provides state issued IDs for $10 to anyone that does not otherwise qualify for a driver's license. There is NO fee to anyone blind, homeless, on public assistance, or over 70.
