I tend, in my pessimistic moments, to agree. "America (primarily the under 40 generations) has become overwhelmingly complacent, passive, self absorbed and entitlement minded. They set their moral and ethical codes to the beat of Hollywood and the Hip-Hop culture, leaving them blind and ignorant of the World around them and the eroding of their liberties, general welfare and most importantly, their future." Schlicter says "...the U.K. has fallen so far that its people are willing to give up their tradition of liberty..." isn't this due primarily to the same generation with the same values? Why would we be any different? They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
