Once someone has served their time, including parole, they should be able to vote. If they are working then they are being taxed. To not let them vote is taxation without representation. As for owning a gun my feeling is if they can't be trusted with a gun they should not be trusted to own a hammer, baseball bat, knife, drive a car or even be allowed in society.
To answer the question before someone posts it, I have never been arrested much less convicted of a crime.
