Or ask the question; does a supposed right violate the inalienable right of another? There are no individual rights to another person's labor. There is no "social contract". No fair share. Also, if it's unethical for the individual, it's unethical for the state. If it's unethical for me to take your earnings to help a third party, it's unethical for the state to do so.
