There seems to be a disconnect between what is on the table for gun control. The laws being proposed are only to restrict "Rights" and do nothing in a net sense to make anyone safer. The "assualt weapon" concept only bans/restricts medium powered recreational and defense weapons. If our justice system bans the most popular medium powered defense weapon based on cosmetics, it can easily justify a total ban a few years later; just the way legal matters have always flowed. Not only is a highly immorral/violent future society realistic, but the focus on productive peaceful citizen rights and let the criminals slide attitude offensive. Don't forget that this administration has run guns to Mexican drug cartels.
