When Elizabeth Edwards suggested we should not buy anything moved to market in a truck...I laughed out loud - even if you want to grow your own food, you'd get your seeds from a store or catalog and they would be delivered by truck. Since oranges and other citrus do not grow in NY, does that mean the children of NY should be exposed to getting scurvy because they cannot get locally grown oranges - tomatoes are another source but they are not a readily available in winter and oranges grown in FL and trucked to NY in the winter usually fills the bill. Too bad for them.
