Hispanics are no different than all the other ethic groups who have migrated here for a better CHANCE to live a better life. The difference is that the largest portion are here illegally. The right's stance has been to oppose the illegal act while attempting empathy for the individual. A tough stance but one I fully understand as i lived and worked in So. Cal for 40 years. I oppose the illegal act but once the person becomes my coworker and neighbor, they must be judged as any other human being. This was once a relatively easy stance because most immigrents, legal or otherwise quickly assimilated and blended in. That has changed because of the hundreds of gov. programs and those that make their livings administrating the programs.
