What they are most interested in is the mechanics of putting a registration, or application, on hand, with all the details of the serial numbers, owner's Socials, addresses, and such. The database will be the most valuable thing the government will have. Then, they know where to go. Any bill they put forth will have the element of personal data, combined with firearm data, together. Then, they just wait for the green light to implement seizure of weapons.
