"They routinely violate the Fourth Amendment rights of every person with an airline ticket." It's no longer restricted to the airport. I most major cities, if you have an AMTRAK ticket, Greyhound ticket, or are just driving your own vehicle on an interstate highway, they are setting up VIPR checkpoints to harass Americans (not foreigners) and subject them to terroristic threats. Keep in mind that, if you are driving on a public road, TSA HAS NO AUTHORITY to stop and check you. Only real State or local police do and then only for a suspected misdeed...not as routine. I have run into them several times (they set up roadblocks so you can't run them) and have demanded to have a state policeman present BEFORE I even show ID to them.
