I grew up in the forties. It seemed that the ponds in the area were ALWAYS frozen. All the kids skated. There was always snow for sledding. Sunce then, all you hear when there's a cold snap is that "ponds may not be safe for skating:. Since then, it's been reported that the forties were indeed a cold decade. I can't buy into "global warming" when there has been identifiable changes from one decade to another. We KNOW why Algore was pushing his theme, but what's in it for the others?
