FMC-From the mid 60s until I retired in 78 the overall "comfort level" civility (whatever) seemed to decrease. More finger-pointing, MUCH more evidence of "racial Identity' Hostility for no apparent reason. I suspect that you will attach some sinister White supposition to this "change in /attitude(s), but believe me the situation existed not merely as "Perception. My insistence "go get a haircut" was no longer an inconvenience, it too often became a perceived Racial Thing. And as I say, I sincerely believe that I was dealing, for the most part, with the better troops, irregardless of Color. Times were hard!
