Drivel! Many blacks in Detroit still don't own their homes, they rent. But that's not the point. "White flight" in Detroit didn't start until AFTER the race riots in '67. Shortly thereafter, Coleman A. Young became the first black mayor of Detroit, and he was undeniably a racist and hastened "white flight". Businesses still "thrive" in Detroit, and many of us drive into the city every day to work...and pay City taxes for the "privilege". But Thomas has it right on the money; the problem is 100% Democrat machine driven, with all its corruption and crony-ism. If there were two parties vying for power, many would fear being found out, but 100% Democrats means no fear.
