I must admit, I find it very odd that Rand Paul's filibuster received the criticism it did from any conservative. If the floor of the senate isn't the place to make such a political statement, I can't imagine where it would be. We used to find virtue in such things. But we're too good for that now, I gather. Ultimately, what Paul did resonates with a great many of use 'little, dirt eating folks' who live outside the beltway, and this is all that's important to us.
It SHOULD be important to the chattering class also, but more and more I get the feeling that what they like to hear most of all is the sound of their own voices.
