Perhaps he is not a "straw purchaser" but he did, in fact, falsify his background check info. By pruchasing the gun with the intent to pass it onto another yet indicating he was purchasing for himself he lied. He should be prosecuted. His point is ridiculous on the face- it should be quick, easy and painless for a law-abiding citizen to buy a gun. His wife doesn't need permission to exercise her freedom of speech or religion- why do we need to have an onerous process to exercise the second amendment.
