For decades-over 80 years-Mexican women have crossed the border in the final throes of pregnancy, just to have the children on American soil. The only English they may know is enoguh to ask the border patrol to sign a slip of paper stating the child is born in America. My dad worked for the Border Patrol in the 40's and witnessed this first hand.
