The whole gun control agenda is nothing but "feel good legislation". You can cite an endless stream of statistics to show that none of the proposed laws will actually make society safer but that doesn't matter, they will "feel" safer. The objection to concealed carry on campus is not about any crime or mishap with a legally carried firearm, there have been none. But those who testified for the bill claimed they "feel intimated or inhibited" by not knowing who may have a gun and they don't want to "feel" that way. Obviously the whole point of concealed carry and the very thing which makes it valuable is the fact that persons up to no good should "feel inhibited" from carrying out their criminal intent, that is precisely how it works.
