A major problem protecting our schools are the Federal laws called the 1990 and 1995
Gun-free School zones acts that outlawed possession of guns on school grounds or within a thousand feet of the schools by Conceal Carry Gun owners, off duty police officers or non gun licensed security guards. What has happened is that killers love the fact that no one on school
property who can stop them when they attack our children and the school's staff. In the Newtown,
CT case, it took the police twenty minutes to arrive at the school after the schools' staff called
911. If the school staff had guns available for defense, it is possible that the death toll would
have been much less. The 1995 Gun-Free School Zones Act needs to be repealed!
