This line of reasoning is an inane as Rick Santorum's "paper towels can't be napkins" diatribe. "You can call a paper towel a napkin, but it's never going to be one. Therefore same-sex couples can never call their relationships marriage." What paper towels (or wolves) have to do with marriage is anyone's guess. In either case it's a stupid analogy, and proves nothing.
As for the (Mormon) Nevada judge's ruling, it's equally inane. That was the exact same line of reasoning that validated bans on interracial marriages 50 years ago. "It's not discrimination since NO ONE is permitted to marry someone of a different race." Yeah, except for those couples that AREN'T actually in love with someone with the same skin color.
